While working at her families business Ann's Bakery on San Bruno Avenue in San Francisco, a handsome deliveryman named Roger walked in and it was love at first sight. Shortly thereafter Roger was called to serve his country. They wrote each other almost daily and when he returned they were married on November 19th, 1955.


They purchased their first home on Zita Drive in South San Francisco. Then they moved to Valverde Drive for 47 years and raised three children: Roger Jr., Karen and Suzanne.


Mary Ann proudly stood by her man; she was his trusted partner and confidant! They opened Roger’s Liquors and she became his trusted bookkeeper.


Years later when Roger became Ill, she took charge and supported him through the ups and downs of his illness. She kept him happy and healthy until his untimely death in 2006.


In August 2004 they acquired there first Standard Poodle named Chloe. Mary Ann & Roger had so much fun with her; she was the love of their life. Then in 2006 she decided Chloe needed a pal, so she acquired her second Standard Poodle Lollipop. They were here true companions; she loved and cherished them so much. They brought her much joy and happiness. She loved buying toys and treats and spoiling them so much.


Mary Ann loved everyone; she was a true people person. She could meet or talk to a stranger and become their friend in minutes. She was always there when someone was in need. She was a fabulous gourmet cook and loved to entertain her friends and family. She will always be remembered for her big heart and sense of class.
