Married Maurice Galvez (Balboa High School 1951) in 1956.  Had 8 children in next 8 years.  Moved down peninsula, to Menlo Park, in 1960.  Lost one child; then had last one in 1969.

Husband worked for Pan American Airways; later for Lockheed, until retirement in 1993.  I was stay-at-home mom but a very active volunteer in public schools, scouting, sport programs, city government, homeless shelter, drug education and drug rehab center, teaching English to immigrants, preparing adults with limited education for GED tests, visiting nursing home patients, making visits to senior shut-ins and being a lay minister in my church.  Worked as a pastoral associate.   Our home was always open to homeless teens, who were welcome 24/7.

I have 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.  Family scattered throughout U.S.A., Europe, Africa and Asia.   Have done a good amount of traveling.   Sadly, I lost my beloved husband, September 2014.   I continue doing a lot of volunteer work; am involved in activities of the families of my 8 children; love sports, the outdoors, reading, gardening, travel, any new experiences and my circle of wonderful friends..

I feel exceedingly blessed.
